Itinerary

Day 1SANDAKAN / KINABATANGAN RIVER / SANDAKAN

Tour Start: 1:30 PM

You will be picked up from your hotel in Sandakan Town or Sepilok and transferred to Sukau, Kinabatangan. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours, passing through rural villages, oil palm plantations, and stretches of rainforest.

Upon arrival, meet your guide for a short briefing before putting on your life jacket and boarding the river boat.

Embark on a 2-hour river cruise along the Kinabatangan River, one of Borneo’s premier wildlife destinations. Keep an eye out for a variety of wildlife, including Bornean pygmy elephants, crocodiles, proboscis monkeys, macaques, orangutans, hornbills, eagles, herons, kingfishers, and many other species that inhabit the riverine forest.

After the cruise, return to the lodge and enjoy dinner while reflecting on the day’s wildlife encounters.

Following dinner, depart for Sandakan and transfer back to your hotel.
