Born and raised in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Floria’s love for nature and people was sparked at an early age. From as young as 19, she worked part-time at Adenna Rafflesia Garden in Poring, Ranau — where encounters with curious guests unknowingly planted the seeds of a tourism career.

When she shared her ambition of becoming a medical laboratory scientist, guests would smile and tell her that her true calling was already right in front of her.

They were right.

In 2017, Floria took her first full step into the industry at Sepilok, Sandakan, where she spent over eight years as a front officer — building her hospitality instincts, sharpening her guest relations skills, and deepening her appreciation for Sabah’s incredible wildlife and nature. She later returned to her hometown of Kota Kinabalu, where she continued to grow through roles in the hotel line and part-time work with a travel agency.

Now in 2026, Floria has joined the Gibbon Adventure family as a Sales Advisor — ready to bring her wealth of experience to a new chapter and elevate her career even further. With a genuine passion for Sabah’s natural heritage and a warm, people-first approach, she is dedicated to helping every guest find their perfect Borneo adventure.
